Danny Corr has almost 30 years experience in Martial Arts backed up with qualifications in Fitness and Nutrition, First Aid and the ACS in Coaching Studies.
A 4th Dan in Karate Jutsu under the BCA's Peter Consterdine, Geoff Thompson and Iain Abernethy, Danny has and an unprecendented wealth of experience in the world of competition both as a coach and fighter. Danny competed in sport karate at international level for Northern Ireland and Great Britain and fought in many mixed rules tournaments before the phrase Mixed Martial Art (MMA) became commonly used.
A former NI National Karate Fighting Coach and Irish Team Sport Jujitsu Coach, Danny has trained not only himself to world standard but has coached all levels of individual and teams from raw beginner to international competitors.
A Former Ulster, Northern Ireland, British and a current World Sport Jujitsu Champion, Danny's credentials are second to none.
Training Programmes devised by Danny are wide ranging from the first ever karate jutsu "Afterschools" programmes for primary schools, the first ever karate jutsu programme for adults with learning difficulties to individual training programmes for anti-bullying for children and fitness regimes for adults.
Awarded numerous accolades for his services to the community and sport including Sports Person of the Year and recently was awarded The Sir Ken Bloomfield Award for Sporting Excellence 2009. Danny has now opened the fully kitted ZKJ gym in Newtownabbbey.
After forming Zanshin Karate Jutsu in 1998 the goal was always to provide a unique and fully operational gym to promote all aspects of Karate Jutsu, this year that goal was realised with the opening of the B4MMA Gym. Danny Coaches at the Gym almost every day of the week alongside the other ZKJ Coaches and is available at the gym for private training.
